President Trump Calls Relatives of Attacked National Guard Personnel to White House

Former President Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the presidential home.

He mentioned that he contacted her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a shooting on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her colleague, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The president stated he’s proposed a White House visit for the families of both individuals of the state Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump informed the press. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community members came together over the weekend at Webster County high school in the state to pay respects to Sarah.

Both they had been working with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to support law enforcement in the capital.

“She was the kind of student that educators desired. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” Hankins, the principal of Beckstrom’s previous school, informed the media. “She was kind, caring and always eager to assist people.”

Legal Measures and Government Revisions

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy led the government to pause asylum applications and temporarily stop providing entry permits to owners of travel documents.

Status of the Airman

Wolfe, a native of the city, began his service in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, per the Associated Press.

He remains under medical supervision and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader Patrick Morrisey said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

Attorney general Pam Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she aimed to visit Wolfe’s family.

Legacy of Sarah Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County high school in June 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a military police officer with honor, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of goodness and she absolutely had bravery,” Morrisey informed the audience at the vigil. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
